As a Software Engineer, I've worked on and collaborated with teams of developers to build modern and responsive web applications using best practices - design, coding, testing, through documentation and implementation. I have experience with REST API's, distributed version control, agile methodology, as well as both client-side and server-side technologies and frameworks. I have used HTML templating, cloud technologies, CSS frameworks, and NoSQL databases (such as MongoDB). Many of the projects I have worked on utilize MVC architecture and are written in the Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) paradigm using modern web development languages including JavaScript, Node.js, Express, and HTML5/CSS3.
I enjoy learning new things and sharing my knowledge with others. I believe that teaching is a great way to reinforce and supplement our own understandings and perspectives. I am an advocate for education, the climate, and the ethical treatment of animals. I am also a music lover, musician, and action-sport enthusiast.
